Flesh Eating Bacteria in the Florida Gulf

I added a couple slides to the classes starting with this weekend. It's for a saltwater canal neighborhood where the kids are into anything and everything water. The water is murky and there are oysters everywhere. Lots of them on pilings, bulkheads and dock floats too. There have been a few limbs lost over the years due to infections from cuts while scraping pilings, climbing back onto docks, etc. So this is really timely.

Thanks, Ray, for getting this going. Thanks, Greg, for helping put words onto ideas.

IMHO, we shouldn't put so much emphasis on infections with Vibrio. The vast majority of necrotizing infections are caused by Strep or Staph.
