After attenting the Daytona Beach boat show this past weekend we have narrowed our choices to 2 boats. The Cruisers Yachts 280/2870 or now the Four Winns 298. My wife ultimate boat is the new Four Winns 318 but 150k is too much so we must buy used. After looking online the Four Winns 298 is almost the same boat. We love the cockpit layout and the cabin layout the best on the 298. it looks like FW dropped this hull all together because the 318 is 2 ft longer and 3in wider beam? Why did they drop this hull, all the threads I have read online say that this is one of the best hulls in its class, almost 47-48mph with only the 5.o engines wow? So any owners please let us know your feedback, to get into our price range we are looking at about a 2002 year, it seems these boats have really come down in price quite a bit?
