Grew up in Narragansett but never entered Pt Judith via boat. I understand there are good diesel fuel prices to be had in there. I know Pascal has some experience in there.

What marina or marinas? And which side, Jeruselem (west) or Gallilee (east)???

Heading to Block next week and that would be a convenient stop if prices are lower than inside the bay...

I usually refuel at pt Judith marina just up channel on the west side as their prices are pretty good.

On Friday, diesel was 4.06 ( less 0.10 if over 500usg) with tax. To compare, Casey s fuel barge in Newport was 3.86 but they re hard to deal with as you have to make an appointment, they don't refuel on Sunday's and because they have to tie alongside it s a lot of stress on yr cleats if you re anchored/moored

Fairhaven shipyard is another option if headed towards buzzards bay, they were 3.75 last month

Thanks Pascal. That is a good price relative to the bay and an easy stop on way to Block. Just might give that a whirl.

My boat is at Pt Judith Marina right now, going to pick it up tomorrow night. I refueled there 10 days ago, it was 4.06 for diesel with .05 for Boat US, another .05 off for cash and as Pascal said another .10 for 500+

I didn't enjoy going there for the first time on a hot Sunday afternoon -- traffic was unbelievable and the current was moving pretty well to. Time something on the side of slack tide and not on the weekend and all will be well.

Yes traffic in and out can be crazy on a Sunday! Current isn't a issue at the fuel dock as long as you dock in the current and approach with your bow slightly angled into the dock. This way you can use the current to bring the boat alongside. Now if you re going to back up in one of the inner slips, then yes current can make it a little harder

A little late to the answer party I guess but maybe it will help someone. As noted PJM is a convenient stop, but you can also fuel up at snug harbor marine (just south of PJM on the same side of the channel). Fuel for me is cheaper at PJM because they give members an additional discount. But fuel at snug harbor is cheaper without that discount.
