Fusion....

First of all, this result is good, but remember what the mission of this lab is. It's all about understanding our nuclear arsenal and these experiments are a part of that. That they get more out of it than they put in is all good, but, this place is not about energy production. It's about the arms race.
 
There is a lot of private money being put into fusion research also. If one can make a commercial fusion reactor I am sure there is money to be made.
 
No argument there. I wish the governments would pour more cash into it. Once tapped it will make a huge difference. But wait, someone has to pay for it and we all know the cost of these things will be passed on to the consumer. But over all, it is a very good investment in the world's future. These investments are so long term it's certainly intimidating to any investor except some institutions with very long legs. That's why the governments have to be more involved.
