Instructions
1
Ensure the Garmin is set for the proper time zone. On the device select "Travel Kit," then "World Clock," and select a city that lies within the correct time zone. Wait a few minutes for the Garmin to adjust the clock to the correct time zone.
2
If the time zone is set properly, return to "Travel Kit," tap "World Clock," and select a random city on the list. Wait 10 minutes for the Garmin to sync with the satellites and adjust the clock. If the clock adjusts, repeat Step 1 to sync the Garmin to the new time zone.
3
If the Garmin does not change time, no matter what time zone is selected, try a hard reset of the device. Power down the device. Depending on the model of Garmin, press and hold either the bottom right or top right of the touch screen. Then power it up again. This should bring up a menu that allows you to clear personal data. Select yes, and the device should automatically restart. Repeat Step 1 to select the correct time zone
I remember having a problem but I did figure it out a couple of years ago. Once I figured it out I recall thinking it was easy and not sure why I had trouble in the first place, now I don't remember what I did. If you can't get it to work I would just call Garmin they have a great tech support and would walk you thru it in a few seconds.
