Losing oil in my Crusader 502 was the heat exchanger. Now I (and this started suddenly) I'm getting gas in my oil. I suspect that the diaphragm in my fuel pump may have deteriorated and is the problem. Any other possibilities??

I'm no mechanic, but piston ring(s) 1st come to mind.
I don't know how a fuel pump could get fuel into the oil.

I assume this is a carb engine, with mechanical fuel pump? If so, as you said, most likely it is a leaking fuel pump. Is it running ok otherwise?there are other possibilities, but not as likely. How do the plugs look? If any are wet with gas, could be a non firing cylinder, and gas is washing down the cylinder instead. But probably the fuel pump. If it’s fuel injected, different story.

Wouldn't a compression test be advisable? It's pretty simple and cheap if the fuel pump is ok.
