Hello Everyone,
Just about ready to crack my winter cover open, can't wait!. Meanwhile I purchased a Lowreance LMS 334c igps ( same as 332C but with a ext. GPS puck)and started the learning process and testing the GPS part of it in the car and wow! Me not happy. It takes for ever to get started, I loose the signal more then I like and if I don't loose the signal my signal correction jumps at all times anywhere from 30/40' to 400/600', At the same I tested my Garmin GPSMAP 76 and it was a huge diffrence in performance and response. My primary use for the 334c will be my boat, but since they sell and promote road application I thought I would use it on the road as well. Two birds with one stone type of thing.

So now, is there a diffrence in GPS receivers among the many units avaiable? Should I perhaps get the 332c with a puck? Or .......?

Cheers,
Chris
