Green stain removal

Over the years the bronze sea strainers, rudder shafts, etc have gotten that good old green stain on them from sea water seepage. Any ideas on a good product to clean them up? Thanks

That is patina, AKA bronze corrosion; repair is elbow grease.

Is it really corrosion? Toilet bowl cleaner with some brushing will help clean it, but is it really necessary?

I used Lysol Toilet Bowl cleaner when I replaced packing on shafts. Results >
