Can anyone tell me what the black thing on the purple wire is? (Sorry it's not quite in focus).
It's on a wire connected to the back of the alternator - which is a SEV MARCHAL. It's about 1.5 inches long and the word on it says something like "NACTRON". I thought it might be a fuse holder but can't see any way to open it. It is made out of some sort of rubbery material. On the other side there are four tiny holes. Notice that the purple wire goes in at the bottom on the right and comes out at the top on the left. (In other words it's path changed inside the mystery box).
