Welcome to the Regal Owners Forum. I am your self appointed powerless moderator, until further notice. Sorry that the regalownersclub.com got shutdown, but I think it's just temporary. We'll see.

It figures you"d post something like that. You just feel a need for Power don"t you. I think in order to be a moderator you"d have to first be an Anchored Subscriber and since you don"t have $19.95 and won"t accept donations I think you"re automatically excluded.
Not to mention that it appears that you own a Larson? Or do you?

No offence Bob, But #1) You are not a Regal owner; #2) Your past judgement leaves a bit of a question; and #3) Our previous Regal moderator, Rommer, has not even gotten to the announcement as yet.

Ok, well anyway, I think the board being down is actually technical difficulties, not a conscious decision on the part of the owners of the board.

Wow! You guys sure did clobber Bob, didn't you? Of course, he stuck his neck out there, sort of asking to get clobbered. Can we all get along now?

Regardless of what happens to the ROF, it's sort of nice to be included over here with our own group -- was beginning to feel like an outcast with the number of other boat brands which had their special "slips". Glad to see the level of interest.

I thought of a Regal presence here long ago, but there never was a particular need for it until today. The Regal Owners Forum was active, informative, well run, large membership, and kept "clean".

Now, I have a "One Stop" retreat for all my boating interests and needs right here.

I'm shocked! Having withdrawal symptoms...
Hopefully it's going to be back after a technical difficulty (maybe somebody needed to pay the bill on the domain name...)

Drinking heavily......wake me when the nightmare is over......AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

WTF????Does Les know about this????...Did he have a seniors moment???

Not sure I can survive the withdrawal!!!

Might have to spend even more time on boatered now.

I have to agree with Bob that this appears to be a technical glitch which is why I'm not even going to email the owner at this time. If he did in fact have a server crash he has much more important things to do then to worry about all of us Regal owners and our need to get together and chat about our boats. Hmmmmm... on second thought maybe I SHOULD bother him!!!! ;)

I had a similar incident happen early this year on the Cruisers Yachts Owners Club site. I lost a lot of info and some subscribers had their accounts deleted by the server glitch. I am sure your Regal site will be back up and running soon!

Rommer & all,

While I can accept/believe all the possible explainations for the loss and, hopefully, soon resurected Regal Owners Forums....There is one tid-bit of evidence that goes unexplained:

WHY the declaration that no new members were being accepted?

I want my money back!

Just kidding, truthfully you can't beat the price, and even if it were to cost a little more I'd pay. Though most of the time I'm only lurking (I mean every day).

Sorry, Bob, Rommer volunteered for the job. Probably best to have someone who actually owns a Regal.

Steve

That's a good question. I did in fact email Ed about that a week or so ago and did not get a response. Based on the drive by SPAMMER link postings and some of the new user names you did see on the top of pages It did look like he was having trouble controlling the "bad people"

I can only guess at this point that the forum software he was/is using may have had a security hole or 2. It is the same software used by boatered but here Les heavily mods the software and as we all know Ed was an absentee landlord.

I hope things get back to normal but if not then we can make this our new happy place.

Anybody have any email addresses for any of the Canadian crew? Would love to get the information to them...

BTW - thanks Les for giving us our own little slice of Heaven on boatered.

This doesn't look good for resurrection! Now posted on the old site address:

Looks like it is time to move on.

I like all of you are very disappointed at the sudden loss of our old home. That said Les has graciously donated a place for us to continue to get together and talk about our favorite brand of boat. I'd like to think we can recapture the same good camaraderie at our new home. I think it is despicable that someone would hold hostage a hobbiest site and suggest we move forward here.

Not sure how we can get the word out to all of the people that went to the old site but it sure would be helpful if you can email anyone you may know with this new address.
