I'm looking to hire a boat captain to teach me how to pilot my new used 28 foot cruiser. Any recommendations for south shore? Thanks

If you can get him, mike winter at ss3 in lindenhurst.

Call Capt. Mike Winter at MM / SS3... In 2001-03 when I was buying my 28' then 32' he gave me my sea legs... Great guy and also will do other dock stuff if you need help with, like pole bumper strips, lines etc.

Ive seen Mike Winters make a boat do some crazy stuff. He's a great teacher !

Not only will Capt. Mike give you lessons, he will take you around all the hot spots so you know where to go. Yes you may spend a bit on fuel, but when done you will know your boat well, hopefully dock well, which takes a lot of practice, and know where to go with confidence. But don’t expect him to teach you all about your specific Radar, GPS etc. I would contact Sal A for that, I don't want to butcher the spelling of the last name, Mike will know or I can give you his #'s.

Generic # for SS3 1-631-226-0000 Ask for Mike winters . ( ur at the main switch board )

If that doesn't work ask for the Marina then ask for Mike Winters
