Holding Tank Chemical Recommendation

There seem to be dozens of choices out there. My '89 Santego has a Mansfield Marine head (according the brochure) with a 9 gal holding tank. It is a no frills head, and works fine for 2 over a weekend or a few more for a day on the lake. Any crowd favorites?

I agree, Odorlos (follow the directions and don't add anything else) works pretty well. I don't think you'll find anything better.

I use EnviroChem. Is that similar to Odorlos?

Whats in Odorlos ? What's in EnviroChem ? Are they formaldehyde (sp), alcohol, or something like used in septic sysyems, a bacteria or such ?

Enzyme plus oxidizer. No Formaldehyde.

See Product MSDS here. It looks like it is 100% Sodium Nitrate ( an oxidizer ).

Odorlos doesn't have formaldehyde either.

Liz, if you're satisfied with what you're using, and it doesn't put you in the poorhouse, then that's all that counts!
