If Wisconsin is not a VOC state, get a "shake 'n go" cleaner with some petroleum distillate and clean them, any dirt and tar from poles and docks should clean right up.

Brake fluid cleans the up real easily.

BReake fluid won't soften the plastic up as acetone does to some.
