I got back to the boat in Eastern Tn tonight after only 3 weeks away and I felt like Indiana Jones going thru massive spider webs! I m on the end of the dock technically in an open slip but right next to the covered slips.

Only 3 weeks!!!

I hope it’s not as bad in winter… going to take me a couple of hours cleaning that mess. On a positive note it’s 66 degrees right now! Heaven

Miss Muffits Revenge. Use a lot around the docks and lines before you leave.

Oh it will get worse in October. Especially the JoJo spiders whose webs are really big, and really strong string. It won't stop until it freezes. Then nothing. I use Ortho Home Defense. I put it on my dock lines, I use gloved hands and spray it on a rag and hit all the rails. Bad news is rain washes it away but October is a dry month.

I hang these cow tags in the rv storage, hunt camp, and shooting houses, and they seem to keep allbugs away including spiders. They last for months, cover large areas. (there is probably some warning about hanging them from human ears)

I am going to give those a try. Contains pyrethroids which is pretty safe stuff. Thanks!

I hang them at the places siders tend to build webs most often and also in those dark places the nasty bugs like to inhabit. Glad y'all brought this up I'm due to hang a freash batch.

Thanks Bill. Ordered them on Amazon should be here tomorrow. Took me 4 hours to wash the boat, I never knew how strong cobwebs are…

Going to pick up some Miss Muffit Revenge at Ace as well

There are a number of different brands and I can not say one is better than the other, just don't order the non-medicated ones😁
