Greetings,
Haven't posted here in ages, but this situation I just can't seem to come up with a good solution too..so here goes.
1999 maxum 1900SR. on the inside, there is one panel that is padded, that runs from next to the driver and passenger seat down to the back of the boat. they are held up with a bolt that sticks into a hole that is drilled in the fiberglass of the hull. the problem, over time, the bolt looks like it wore its way down through the fiberglass and now the front of the panel is hanging down a few inches, and it's a little ugly, not to mention loose. the hole is maybe an inch from the bottom of the piece of fiberglass, so i thought if i rivetted some metal to it, that might just pull down a bigger piece and break. also thought of maybe liquid nails, but that would really just attach itself to the vinyl of the piece that is hanging, which would probably in time start to dettach from whatever it's connected too. then i'd have vinyl hanging and it'd look even uglier.
any ideas? i might have to get to the boat and take a pic to fully explain it. sorry if this is too vague.
thanks,
bill w.
