I have a 99 Four Winns Vista 258 and am bewildered (well not really but that sounded like a good word) that it didnt come equipped with a fresh water tank level monitor. So the only way I know its low or empty is when the pump starts running non-stop and blowing air. There isnt an easy way to check the fresh water tank by eye, its underneath the v-berth and a panel is screwed down on top of it. Im pretty sure its either 20 or 40 gallons of freshwater.
So whats the word on fresh water tank level gauges? Are they easy to install? Whats with these ones that sense the level on the outside of the tank? Any suggestions on brands or installation?
