Is this a scam!!!

No documentation number, plus when you call the number seems to not be real.
 
I wrote a check just so I had a record for me.
 
I got the same thing today as well this is the time of year I usually get my renewal
 
In Boating Class, we mention that USCG didn't use to charge for renewals but now they do.
 
It is legit via pay.gov. The entire form is online. You get a document in the mail. Uncle Sugar has your CC #. I'd use a check. 2 cents.
 
This is official USCG stuff. They use pay.gov to collect fees, no scam. Pay.gov is also used for license fees
 
So I guess there is a fee now? I received another form, the "usual" one I get every year about a month ago and sent that one in.
 
How would you like to be a Commercial Barge Line and have 2,200 documented barges that renew each year.
 
I paid back in march. I think i mailed my check. Alot info was missing from the form ...

Foggy memory speaking. All I did was check a 'no changes' block on the paper form. I wonder if the missing is stored in a cloud somewhere?
