Ixtapa, Mexico fishing charters

Does anyone have recommendations for fishing charters? I'll be there for 5 days end of Feb.

Did one at Ixtapa many years ago... sailfish waters. Ixtapa is one of the commercial resorts so you may do better looking at getting a charter out of Zihuatanejo. Its just a short ways outside of Ixtapa and is probably a lot less expensive.

Vargas Sportfishing out of Zihuatanejo. We've gone with Alejandro Vargas the last two years and have had good luck. Just go down to the pier and look for the 26' Panga named 'Esturion' or call him directly at 044-755-1049696. Last year we caught two 80+ inch sailfish, lost an unknown weight marlin, and a nice 20+lb Dorado spit the hook. This year we trolled onto a few bonito and hooked into a nice sailfish at the end of the day. Have fun and good luck! Wish I was going again!
