So after a layoff and financial hassles the Harley Superstar has been motionless for more than a year with a broken engine....the mis-built engines are finally going to be replaced with known running take out Fresh Water Cooled stock mercruisers that I purchased for a song (all I can afford these days). She;ll be slower but at least I can do voernights, fish, and dive again.

Joe has been super helpful - again - helping me move the engines from Stuart to pompano on his son's trailer, lending me an engine lift, and being supportive of my boating "crazy". Thanks JOE! If you ever need help on RocknRoll - call me Bro

O, Just want to see you busy doing something useful instead of cutting the lawn, washing dishes or watching TV.
Seas and weather should be calming down soon, so "Git er fixed".

Used your engine lift today - GREAT help!

Got all motor mounts off today and need to sand blast them and paint asap.'.....hint hint ;-)

Engines are cleaned up and looking decent. No rust anywhere - paint touched up. Oil changed, Valve covers first coat of paint is drying.

Pulled all four coolers - one is shot.....need to clean out and pressure test the others.....and buy one.

Measured and have diagram for the Stainless steel stringer saddles for the engine room - can JMAS hook me up with his Stainless steel buddy so I can get them made this week?

Next step????? Get the boat moved. Might have an aquaintance who trailers his Harley to Florida every year from up north who is willing to haul the boat for me......might put the new motors in at the warehouse where the "new" engines are located. Sweet!

JMAS kicks in again and let me use his shop sand blaster on the engine and transmission motor mounts - they came out nice - bare to the metal so my Dad is now priming and painting them up.....nice to make progress for a change. Keep you posted!

Nice to hear from you again. Last I heard, you were so frustrated, you were going to get another boat or something.

Glad you're back at it.

Thanks Charlie - I was frustrated - mostly with my engine builder/theif and with my financial situation which has been challenging. Boats after-all are toys and must wait their turn. Luckily I live on the water so the dock space was "free" while she sat and waited for me to get my stuff together. Hope to post some pictures of the process when I remember how to post on here. Cheers!

again.....motor mounts needed to come apart and I couldnt make it happen on my home bench/vice. Stopped by Joes shop with my Dad and we tried crow bars and such - no luck. Then Joe broke out the white hot acetalin (sp?) torch.....rhuhrhuhrhuh. Kicked the motor mounts azzs and then sand blasted them for paint.

Thanks Joe- great fun!
