Last summer I could not get water pressure at the galley sink to save my life. The previous owner had turned the plumbing into a mess of valves and hoses to the point my bilge looked like a nuclear power plant. So when I could not figure out which valves were for the sink, I tore most everything out and started over. Only to eventually discover that there was in fact plenty of water pressure, hot and cold, at the inlet hoses for the sink , just none coming out. Lesson learned. Bought a new kitchen faucet off the shelf at the depot and all was well last summer.
Winterized everything with the pink stuff last fall. This spring the other three sinks ( circa 1976) and two showers were good, but once again not one drop of water out the 11 month old galley sink, hot or cold. Did I collapse the hoses with the antifreeze? can regular kitchen faucets not handle a freeze? Do I need to shop for a different type of faucet?
