My 325 has a Kohler generator. It will start but only stay running while holding the start switch. As soon as you release it, it shuts down. I am aware of the auto shut down features, but not sure how to research them. Any ideas?
Most have a short bypass that lets it keep running till the oil pressure comes up.
You shouldn't have to hold the button.
Also, there are 4 lights on the control board that tells you what the problem is.
I don't remember that each means. I got rid of my old Kohler a couple years ago.
