Can anyone help me to define the leads off of a Mando 807653 65 Amp Alternator (merc 18-5960 #) on a MerCrusier 7.4 MPI. Alternator has a RED wire (+ I assume), a Black wire (ground) , a purple wire and a red and green (I think) wire. Basically I am trying to define which wire is the Field (F) effct wire so as to be able to install a new Master Switch (ala PERKO) that has the AFDisconnect capability. None of my manuals help and neither do any of the alternator suppliers, nor Mercury Marine.
Any help or clariifcation or a referral to any publuished info would be appreciate.
