I had a leak down test done on my engine to confirm head/valve problem. The results are as follows:
#1 - 35%
#3 - 80%
#5 - 80%
#7 - 80%
#2 - 20%
#4 - 20%
#6 - 40%
#8 - 30%
Not sure what this means. I assume large numbers bad, low number good? Had bad compression in #5 & #7. So would this confirm it. They recomend having both heads removed and repaired/replaced, which sounds reasonable and confirms my original suspicion.
They also put a note that the repair may reduce cylinder leakage, but there may be excessive blow by the engin rings due to age of engine. Any thoughts? Frankly, the engine runs pretty well, just a little weak at the top end. Thanks.
