Lowrance LCX 111C problems

I have a Lowrance LCX 111C Chartplotter/depth finder that will not "see" the GPS sensor. I tried another sensor but no luck. I tried my backup chartplotter (Lowrance LMS 337C) and it works well on cables and sensor. Problem seems to be in unit itself. Anyone know a good repair shop? Had problems in 2009 with unit and sent it to Lowrance for repairs in Sept 2009 and didn't get it back until April 2010. Hoping I can find someone faster to repair it.

Check the locals. There is a fellow on the eastern shore of VA who carries bench spares. He gives you one as a loaner and deals with Lowrance on yours or fixes it. You swap out at the end of the deal.

Perhaps there is one in your area.

I've spoken with the local marine electronics shops (2) and found no support whatsoever. Seems Lowrance isn't thought of very highly by them. I'll check in Seattle and see if your suggestion has merit.
