Those of you with jet skis, there's a "uniform" that should be worn riding them. Probably more important for rear passenger than operator, definitely more important for females than guys. Our Florida Marine Patrol even included it in a boating safely video:
Wear cutoff jeans or shorty wetsuit pants.
We bring this up in Boating Class, so I thought I'd mention it here.
This mishap made national web news.

I wonder how one gets sucked under a jetski on which she was a passenger? I expect this would have to have involved the use of reverse bucket, no?

I doubt we'll see updates on this. My guess is that part of the description isn't right, unless maybe she snagged on something. It's my belief she lost hold on the ski or operator and fell backwards into the nozzle discharge at high throttle.

I've seen people go over the front as well as falling off in tight turn

A couple of years ago we had a medevac from our marina. A passenger on a ski had her anus ripped out from an impact on the river. Never heard anything else about it. We see maybe 1 medevac a year for something hat happens on the river.

I am trying to unsee this post.
Jim
