Hi all,

We are moving back up to a larger boat and we were wondering if anyone could recommend a marina on the Connecticut River. We like Hays Haven but as usual there are no open spots [:-irked]

We will have a 1 y/o and a dog with us.

We would like an active marina where we could meet people.

We would like an area of grass near the boat and to not be way out on a finger.

The wife would like wifi.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

What sized boat? What kind of boating? Do you travel to other marinas? How close to the sound do you want to be?

Except for the WiFi, Hays would fit the bill. Keep on Jamie, and something will jiggle open. You could try Brewes Deep River until a spot opens at Hays. They have openings.

Boat is a 33ft and we mostly do day trips along the river. We will go out in the sound a few times a year for a Block island trip or to head to the Thames for the fireworks so being close to the sound is not really that important. I think we would like to be in the Essex area. I have a friend in Chrisholm but from what he says it's a bit too quiet for what we want. We are really looking forward to meeting some new people and we want a marina that is a bit active, maybe has some get togethers, etc...

We spent 3 seasons at Brewers in Deep River. Great place and we made a lot of freinds. If you are looking for a social marina, that would be the place. F dock gets rowdy and I was on D dock for the last two seasons. It was really fun. The biggest downfall is the service and the price.
