I know as boaters, "the concern re affordability" as a topic is a non-starter, esp for non-boaters, but I wonder what the cost of marina fuel will be this season?

Last year, I paid $1.40 per litre for Shell 94 octane, or the equivalent of $5.30 per US gallon.

With all the Middle East activities, and vehicle fuel costs rising, any speculation on marina Fuel $ this year? Anybody else remember their costs last year?

Whatever the worst prices were in 2008, and then some.

I paid $2.95/gallon for diesel at the end of last season. I wouldn't be surprised to see $4.95/gallon this year.

We can guess all day long, but the price is what it is and there's not a whole lot we can do about it. Buy it or don't buy it. That is your choice.

I was just curious what others pay/have paid per gal. Fuel is expensive everywhere, but certainly here in Ontario.

3.43 for Gas in my marina, 3.26 for Diesel. They are not updated from last season.

I just paid 3.65 for premium at the pump on the street in my Navigator, I would say we will be in the 4.30 range at launch time this spring on the water.

Here's the question who was smart enough to top off last year? I'm on E I plan to fill ASAP.

Me.

Fortunately, the trend at our marina is to top up and add stabilizer prior to winter hibernation...

Price here in Toronto currently is $1.20ish per litre at the pump for regular...or $4.50/US gal.

I can't image we'll be less than $1.60-70 per litre or roughly $6.25 per gal at the marina this year.

I actually did fill up last season, at the time I figured it was a waste since every season I have done that its been cheaper in the spring. Maybe this year will be my year!

Scary to think of what those prices will be this year :(
