So one of my Y adapters fried and I want to replace the 30amp connector.

So I need a Marinco 30 amp connector,
Now they make 3 types.
1 for Marine, 1 for RV's, and 1 for Stage Light.
The Marine one sells for more than the Stage light one. Only difference is Marine one is yellow and stagelight is black that I can see.
I plan to put it inside a yellow waterproof cover, so who cares.

Does anyone see a difference in these specs?

More than likely they are the same. I can't imagine it would be cost effective to manufacture 3 different ones if you don't need too. I'd buy one of the stage lighting versions and take a close look at it. I bet it's the same as the marine version.

The marine one specifically says it has stainless steel prongs. The other one doesn't say

You might want to look at the transom inlet connectors as well Dave. I replaced mine a few years ago. They were original and were getting warm under heavy load. Every season I open them and pull the wires out clean them, spray them, tighten the hold down screws and close them back up. Look at the prongs for any pitting or discolor. I'd go for the marine version when it comes to high amperage AC on a boat. I forget the insurance percentages of fires caused by these connections I know it is high on the list.

Actually those are the assembly screws that are stainless, not the prongs, they are brass.

I do have a older marine one that fried, could steal the screws from that but I guess I will just get the marine one. Just annoys you that they make something yellow change a screw and charge alot more!
