Marine Surveyor recommendations and advice

Hi everyone,

I am interested in a 2014 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer. The boat is located in Long Island and I am in Southern NJ. I am looking for any advice on purchasing something this size and looking for any referrals for a good marine surveyor.

I have been boating for about 15-20 years...my current boat is a 25 foot Stingray 250CR (Cuddy Cabin). I bought it new in 2005. I had a 19 foot Bayliner before that and I bought that one new as well.

Over the years I've read many posts here on BE about Al. Every one gave him glowing recommendations. I've even exchanged a few PM's with him and he was quick to offer advice and suggestions even though he knew I would never use his services due to the distance involved.

Al is good but on Long Island, use Pinnacle (Greg Michael). He surveys most of the Searays at marine max that come in for trade. Knows that boat well I am sure.

Another recommendation for Al Prisco.
He did my Sundancer for me at a MarineMax store in Westbrook Ct. in December of 2016.
Al was fantastic!
