when trying to start my port engine it fires up
for a few seconds then just dies and refuses to start at all.
it has always been the lazy engine of the two mananging 4k while the other get's just under 5k
. apart from that it has been running fine up until now.
first i changed the gas filters [ same ] then i cheked the gas pump , working fine.
so i took off the flame arrester and poured a small amount of gas into the carb.
flame arrester back on i turned the key and it started again for a couple of seconds before dieing.
i have now taken off the carb to look for blocked jets but so far all looks well.
am i missing something?
