OK...my 50HP outboard locked up after an overheating event. I'm still trying to determine why it overheated. Pulled the plugs, dumped some oil in the cylinders and got it loose. Number 1 plug had a nice coating of alumunim. Others looked good.
Question is...Should I determine why it overheated, fix that , and run it? Is it worth having the motor rebuilt versus finding a used motor?
