Moved to ICW - best drivetrain for new boat?

Cuddy cabins are a waste. Nobody will want to be in them exception heavy rain. We don't know what you want to do with the boat but for short cruising and fishing consider a party boat with an enclosed head. add some canvas if necessary.

I hear you. However, what the Admiral wants . . .

I don't know many that have much good to say about Johnson outboards.

will she be comfortable tending to the baby in a small enclosed space while it bounces and rolls?

I asked them to do a leak down and a compression check. Are there specific issues with the Johnson's I should know about?

I think just an overall poor reputation as compared to Yamahas etc. Don't see many--there has to be a reason.

years back they had a lot of problems with the oil injection system. I would search the web for that model and see hat comes up.

Ive owned many outboards over the years. I would love Johnson and Evinrudes. Ive had an older Suzuki that ran fantastic. Now I have a yamaha ox66 with 2500 + hours on the motor without rebuild.

The older looper Johnson Evinrudes were fantastic motors. The new etec motors are fantastic as well
