Am I correct in thinking that electrolysis, while greatly reduced, is still active in fresh or nearly freshwater? I'm slipped within about 50' of the mouth of a freshwater surface creek that flows into our tidal saltwater river. You can barely taste salt normally and on an outgoing tide, it's almost Evian.
I still have zincs but they seem to be sticking around longer.
