I am a new, and so far, happy owner of an 87' Montego. It came with the requisite warts of a boat that age and I have had a fairly good time fixing, updating and cleaning her up.

I am down to the parts I cannoot just buy and need your help. I have a nav light that is attached at the top of the windshield. It is a Perko light but Perko says is was custom for Carver and I cannot find a replacement. It is curved in such a way that current lights won't clear to 'roof' line and the straight lights would need to be too long.

Any help on how I might find a replacement and not replace the whole thing, unless that is the best way, would be appreciated.

I just checked with our parts department...and, although we have some plug in lights for Carvers, they are running lights only and not used for anchoring (light only on one side). What we would most likely do, is get a folding or hinged light that will go above the canvas, and mount it on the windshield in place of the factory one.

Any suggestions on model? I don't want to buy (another) light that won't work. ;-)

I'll check tomorrow at work...home now...do you have the std convertible top, or has it been converted to a bimini?

I had the original camper style canvas replaced. It's kinda important here in the PNW. ;-)

Your help is appreciated.
