New carpet/flooring

So, what's involved in replacing the carpet in a Carver? It seems to be glued to the subfloor. Does the subfloor have to be cut out and replaced? If so, are the interior partitions and furnishings built over the subfloor?

some parts of mine were glued some not. Just pull it up and smooth out any lumps.

I changed my 2001 406 carpet out this summer. Some glue, but a million staples. I just pulled up the glued portion and started pulling samples. Save the pieces intact as you will need them for a template./
