Used the new Garmin color handheld with the Blue Chart SW yesterday on the Upper Chesapeake. This baby works perfectly, man is the color so much nicer than my old GPS12 B & W.
This is the new model of the GPSMAP60. It acquires positioning faster, works inside my house as long as I am within 10 feet of the windows.
I got a great deal from Amazon for $359. I love the boat stores, but just couldn't warrant the extra $100. Not to mention the free shipping, and no tax.
Downside, you pay $130 for the Blue Chart DVD which includes only one region, in my case the Chesapeake. The entire US and Canada is on this DVD, but you have to spend $75 -$100 to get additional download codes from Garmin. Work around anyone?? Kidding lol.
