I have an issue with the new site. It looks too freaking good, allows photos to be posted, and performs well. I miss all of the spam posters as well.

I would prefer smaller fonts and smaller avatar spaces.

I like it fine, but wouldn't mind being back on page 1 in the Members section. Didn't find myself after 3 pages yesterday..

Also, I had over 5k posts, maybe 7k, but now only 600??

Bruce, several of us are in the same boat. Myself included.

Because of where we set the cutoff date for the migration of posts, some of us who had a lot more posts in the early days lost a lot of our post count.

The solution, get to posting more! ;)

The post counts in the old system included every post you ever made - 6,895 in your case. The numbers went way down for two reasons - sometime around 2005 I believe, Les archived/deleted hundreds of thousands of posts - but the counts were not reduced. And in late January of this year we deleted 500k or so posts from NBR, as well as dropped about 100k posts from many of the dropped forums - Sailing, Diving, some of the owners groups, some of the local cruising guides. Then a recount was done on what was left.

Some people dropped from 45k to under 3k. Basically, the more posts you made in the early days, and the more you made in NBR - the bigger drop in your post count. But it is an accurate count of your posts that migrated to this system. I was one spot away from hitting the first page on the old site - now I'm sinking like a brick. :(

There was an issue with 'register date'; for many of our longest tenured members, Les had left the 'member since' date blank. These got set to '2/10/21' when the conversion took place. We set those dates back to 1/1/2000 for those of you impacted - as this system won't allow a blank date for this item.

Understood. And you certainly aren’t the only one with this question - so hoping others see the explanation.

I am also not sure when the counts increase; whether it happens in ‘real time’ or during a nightly job.
