New video of cruise ship taking out small marina

Captain waited way too long to deploy his thrusters.

And people filming need to learn to shut up once they hit record.

Amazing to see the cruise-ship-view perspective of the whole event after the shore-side video made its rounds for a while.
The ship was really moving sideways at a good clip before the thrusters (or pod drives?) were finally deployed.

With that wind, almost any move woulda' sent a goodly prop wash towards the marina. Maybe the only move would be holding stern lines as the bow pulled away before moving forward to make a turn to port...assuming the marina was directly astern of the ships dock. Still would get prop wash but reduced if pulsing the engines.

Carnival seems to have some problems with the quality of the judgement & expertise of their Captains in the Med & Italy! I wonder if Tug assistance ever entered in the Captain's thought process.

I imagine it did shortly after that video was shot.

Do thehy not use pilots over there? Maybe that would have saved the marina.
