Hey fellow boaters,
I just came across this forum and love it! I figure i'd introduce myself, etc. My name's Dan and i'm from Franklin Square, I just turned 21 this weekend. Last year a purchased my first boat. I got a 1989 22' SeaRay Sundancer for a very cheap price, cause it wasn't in the best of shape. I'm a part time carpenter, so i was able to fix up the boat, and pretty much triple the value from what I paid. I dont have any pix yet, but i'll put some up when i get a chance.
Last year I docked my boat in Oceanside, NY at basically a junkyard, but it was my first year, and the price was right. This year I moved to Whaleneck Marina in Merrick, NY and i'm loving the place, although my wallet isn't as happy. I've been boating my whole life on other people's boats, so i have a fair amount of boating experience. I'm actually studying to get my USCG Charter Boat Captain's License, just for fun. Boy is it hard!
Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself, i look forward to reading and conributing to this message boad!
