This may be a stupid question but I'm never sure how much to tip the newspaper delivery service! We get delivery 7 days a week and every so often the guy leaves an envelope for gratuity (we pay for the paper directly on a yearly basis). So what's the correct amount for a tip???

Barb,
When the paper was delivered by a paperboy we tipped him. But since they switched to a delivery serivce and tbe paper is somewhere different every am... and never at the front door I stopped tipping... I gave 20 for christmas ...

Until they get it to my front door ... they can stick it....

Rob, I feel the same way but then I feel guilty when I get the "gentle" reminder for the gratuity. You're right about the delivery service....my paper is at the apron of my driveway which means I have to walk down 13 steps and back to get it. I try to think of it as good exercise but I'd much rather have it at the front door! If I remember correctly, we gave him $50 at Christmas.........now I'm thinking that should be good for the year!

YEa... id say u took care of him....

I wouldnt worry about the rest of the year...

It's worse for us living in a doorman building... so many people to tip

[:-banghead]

I wake up to a lovely bang every morning when the paper hits my front door, mailbox, car, window, etc. On occasion, our delivery woman has forgotten to deliver the paper, or I am missing sections of the paper. No tip here.
