Well, here it is the middle of July just about, and I haven't been on the water once [:-ashamed]

Imagine that!!! What kind of role model am I for today's youth, if I have not felt one ray of the Chesapeake sunshine on my shoulders. Not one misquito bite from an overnighter at the flats? Something is definately amiss here. My boat has not seen water since October, and it is starting to look dehydrated, not to mention neglected and lonely. I suggested to the Mrs. that we barbeque on the boat from the back yard and listen to some Jimmy Buffet and James Taylor. She just shook her head and walked away.

To make myself feel better, I spray painted the trailer with some silver paint I found in the garage, really didn't help much.

For those of you who know me, you are probably racking your brain trying to figure out what could have possibly happened that me, A true "bayhemian", that you supercede my boat going into the water. Well here is a clue

IT'S GONNA BE A GIRL!!!!

That and I have now added that dreaded word to my monthly budget... (mortgage payment).

Seriously though, I haven't yearned for the water this badly in a long time. It scares the bejeezes out of me that the boat may not make it in next year either, and if it does, I have no clue how I will find the time to use it...

Well if any one needs company on the water, you know where to find me... Hell, I'd even be willing to scrub the decks for free, and I do a damn good job (just ask Rob, just don't listen if he claims I do part of the job and quit, I stake no knowledge of any such hypocrisy).

Well, anyway, I really do miss seeing you guys out on the water. Hope everyone is having a great season.

Hopefully things won't change too much before I get out there again.....

Signed
