This is a first one for me. I've got an OMC 175 that's cranking over for about 3 revolutions, then locks up tight. I can back it off about 1/4 turn; and it stops again; occasionally it'll turn over another few revolutions; then lock up again. This is a first one on me; anybody had any experience with anything like this? Any ideas what might be a cause or solution to this? Intermediate gear locking up? Something in the engine? It does not currently have the outdrive on it. THANKS!
