With Spring officially here today, and the start of the 2006 boating season either here or just around the corner (depending on how high the snow drifts are in your neck of the woods) this is a great time to share with fellow R.O.'s what some of your on-board necessities are. They could be safety devices, provisions, luxury items, anything.
Inspired by a friend who got a free tool kit from Worst Marine for being a new boat owner, I went out and bought a 103 piece "mechanic tool set" to keep onboard. You never know when you're going to need to make a repair on the water away from the marina. $15 at Wally-Mart, not a bad investment and surely an on-board necessity.
What are some of yours? Could be as obvious as lifejackets, or maybe you absolutely have to have a special blend of coffee with you at all times.........?
