This Saturday I'm going to be looking at what will hopefully be my first boat purchase. It's a 1994 Sea Ray 230 Sundancer. It has a 5.0L Merc I/O (Alpha I), approx 400 hours on the engine. From the look of the photos it appears to be in good shape, but photos on the internet are no substitute for an actual inspection and survey.
What are everyones opinions on this particular boat? It will be used in salt water (NJ shore, both bay and hopefully the ocean as well) Is it a good first boat, or am I better off looking at something else? All feedback is appreciated
