Trying to figure out what's causing my engine to run hot. Running it on muffs sometimes temp is fine and stays at ~145F, sometimes it keeps going up. I usually shut engine off at ~170 - 180 or so. Replaced water pump impeller assy. Replaced thermostat. Manifolds replaced a few years ago. Elbows removed for inspection, but not sure what is acceptable as far as rust. Passages appear to be clear, but there was definitely some scale loose when elbows were removed. What should I look for? I've only owned the baot for 1-1/2 yrs so not sure on when elbows were new. Ideas?
