I have an '88 Thompson 245 Carerra wit a swim platform that the P.O. had installed. When the guy replaced the cockpit floor he painted it with a gray epoxy paint. Of course the guy walked through the paint then stepped out onto the platform. Is there anything that I can use to remove this paint without damaging the fiberglass. I have not tried anything yet because I am afraid of damaging it. Maybe a product like "Goof Off"? This paint has been on the platform for about a year. TIA

Paint remover. Nothing less will take it off, just brush a little on to soften the paint, and use a rag to rub it off. It might take a few applications, a little at a time, that way it is not sitting on the gelcoat. If it is not gelcoat, and is paint, then I guess you can buff it out with compound.
