I would like to know if the pedestal table can be disassembled and stored. I don't use it often and would like to take the pipe out of the top and then store them behind the sofa. Is the table built to take apart??

Yup. The pedestal is just force fit onto the the pipe. Wiggle the table top while pulling up and it should come off the pipe or the pipe come out of the floor receptacle.

If you have trouble getting the pipe out of either receptacle, hold a can of keyboard cleaner upside down and give the pipe a good a good spray where it enters the receptacle. It will come out liquid and it will be VERY cold. I guess so cold it shrinks the pipe and the holder. After you spray it, give it a smack at the top with your hand. It should pop right out. Worked for me after wrestling for months with the thing.

Thanks for the info. I did not want to break it when I tried to separate them.

Loosened the clamp on the base and tried pulling the table out. Did not work. Seems to have something on the end of the tube to prevent it from being removed. Is this common or ??

Clamp on the base? Table base or pedastal base at the deck. Any Pix?

Clamp on the base. No pics available.

Feels like there is something on the nether end of the tube to keep it from coming out.

Wintersux. You have mail. If it feels that tight at the base, it may be a Sequoia(sp?) which has a twist lock mechanism to hold it in place.

Keep loosening the clamp and the insert will loosen and allow the table to be removed. It's probably a Zwaardvis or Bezenzoni brand

not a great picture, but here's mine .....

the legs on my table have a black plastic cap on each end that make it fit snug into the receptacles on the floor and on the under-side of the table. you can see one of the caps just above the receptacle on the floor. there is no mechanism that locks the legs in place. i just pull and twist a little and the legs pop out pretty easily.

those are just regular Todd legs and bases...the legs should pull right out...although sometimes they get stuck...give 'em a good pull and you'll end up with something in your hands.....LOL

Those are not the same type. Mine is a Pedestal base with a clamp on the upper lip. It is a single tube. Even with the clamp loosened it moves freely up and down but when I try to remove it from the base there is something below the base that seems to stop it. I have looked below and there is a box below the table base. I cannot see how it is constructed inside.

See if you can get us some pictures of it...doesn't sound familiar to me

Kenny, I do have pics but how do I get it posted or get it to you?
