I have a 1985 3227 with a Raritan PHII manual head with works great. Of course more is better so I bought a used electric motor on E-bay, a push button switch, and miscellaneous connectors and wirring and converted it to electric. Not happy with the results because the stroke is shorter and it does not pump as well. Anyone experience the same issue?

I've never liked the electric version of the PHII...I'd rather have an electric flush Jabsco. The only advantage to the PHII electric over the std. unit...is that it pumps for you...you still have to turn the valve...and like you said...the stroke isn't as long.

You might do better asking these questions on the "Sanitation Forum". This really isn't a Carver issue.

True that it is not an exlusive Carver issue but since there have been only 10 topics posted on in three days I thought that it would not get lost in the clutter here.

However, I don't think Vic (our local sanitation expert and sanitation forum moderator) looks at other forums as often as he checks out the sanitation forum, if he looks at them at all.
