I 've been a long time follower of your "Cruising with Freedom" blog. Seems I've been kicked off. Would love to know how to be allowed back in.

Kim, I just sent him a message to check this topic out.

This last season, we were at Pete's Pub which is one of our favorite stops in the Bahamas. A blog reader took exception to the write ups I had given it and publicly called me out while we were there. She was a big mouthed, loud ignorant person that could not come to grips with the place and could not accept the notion they make the best damn fish sandwiches in the Abacos. Beer is cold also.
More and more folks are traveling over by boat, and don't agree with our take on the Bahamas which is a laid back Winter folks kind of style. It's not the giant sporty hauling a CC at 30 knots playing loud music all day and boozing it up until 3 am style. More and more folks have found it not to their liking, and well I am tired of hearing it.
Besides, more and more the content is becoming redundant. Went to the Bahamas, came back over and over. I know it has inspired some folks to do a few things and others have had a good time reading it. But at this point I am thinking it has run its course.

Thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed it. At this point I would have to invite all of the readers. Originally it was sort of requested by some of the folks where we used to work. They have all lost interest due to the redundancy so I was the under the impression there was no value in continuing the "saga".

Good report Dan and great explanation. The Bahamas are not all things for all people.
Laid back Winter folks is also my style. Hangovers after a night at Dirty Dick's is way in my past.

Had a beer at Pete's once, back in December of '06; I'd go back for another..

Dan,
I have thoroughly enjoyed you posts on the Bahamas. You had a lot to do with our first trip over and we hope to continue to explore the fascinating places you described during your trips. We recently purchased a "new to us" boat and look forward to returning. Sorry to hear that a few loud mouths ended such a great story line. However, after 40 years in business I can certainly relate to the "Had Enough" explanation.
Thanks again for your efforts in helping me learn how to post Google Tracks on my blog. Still hope to buy you that beer some day in Beautiful Downtown Ft. Myers.....
Jerry
