Hello Forum,

Well, I've been doing my research and have narrowed down my choices to a 1995-2000 450 Sundancer.

The problem is I have yet to actually see or set foot on one, and am quite willing to travel to do so.

For some unknown reason, all the boats currently under consideration are well north of the Mason-Dixon line, and here I sit between Tampa & Ft. Myers in Punta Gorda, FL

I am hopeful that a knowledgeable member here on the Forum would accept my generous donation to cover their valuable time, fuel and operating expenses for a couple hour sharing of information.

I'd even help wash her down upon return.

Perhaps someone knows someone who would be interested?

BEST!

Years ago the owner of my then marina had one for 3 or 4 years and said he loved it. Very nice boat with 2 heads/2 staterooms Like everything he owned he ran it hard but being the yard owner it was well taken care of. One of the CAT 3126’s had to be replaced, maybe bad block- I think the majority of them are CAT powered, maybe some with Cummins? He said it ran well in the rough, but he was a die hard SeaRay guy- his Next boat was a 48 sedan.

A few years back a Buddy of mine had a late 90s 460. Nice boat but maintenance was a nightmare as nothing was easy to reach. Most pumps for instance could only be reached with one hand... generator was a nightmare to work on.

They had to pull an engine to get a water heater out of our '87 27' Sundancer. Maybe 3 inches between the exhaust manifolds. Sea Ray does pack things into the bilge.
